Do I need to activate the gift card before usage?
No, you can immediately make a hotel booking with your gift card. Search for a hotel and - on the booking payment screen - enter the codes you find on the back of your gift card.
I have lost my gift card
Unfortunately lost gift cards cannot be refunded / reissued.
I haven't received my gift box(es) yet

Can I reload a gift card?
No. If you want to give another gift, you need to place an order at www.hotelgiftcard.com or buy Give a Night at a point of sale.
Is the gift card value displayed on the gift?
Yes, the gift card value is written on the 'with compliments' card in the gift box.
What happens to the remaining value on the gift card? (after making the hotel booking)
The remainder stays valid indefinitely for another hotel booking. Please note: the remainder cannot be used for payment of any costs at the hotel (e.g. consumptions). Calculation example: You make a hotel reservation of $80 with a $100 gift card. $20 remains on the gift card. With the same gift card you make another booking of $80, you pay $20 with your gift card and $60 by online payment (e.g. by Mastercard or VISA).
What is the difference between Give a Night and HotelGiftCard?
HotelGiftCard is the new name of Give a Night. On the HotelGiftCard.com site, you can pay your hotel reservation with your Give a Night Card and your HotelGiftCard.
Can I pay my hotel reservation ont HotelGiftCard.com with a Give a Night Card?
Yes, on the HotelGiftCard.com site, you can use your Give a Night Card and your HotelGiftCard.

What is a "double" and a "twin" room?
A "double" room has one two-person bed, a "twin" room has two seperate one-person beds.
How to cancel / amend my booking?
Until 6 days before arrival you can amend / cancel your booking. Send and email to email@example.com indicating: - The Booking ID - Your gift card code (used for making the booking) Without any costs, the full value of the booking is recharged on your gift card. The recharged gift card is (again) valid indefinitely. If you want to amend your booking, follow the same procedure and make your desired booking after the recharge on your gift card.
Can I book without a gift card?
Yes, simply pay for the booking by creditcard.
For how many persons can I make a booking?
Depending on the availability of the hotels, you can make a booking for any combination of persons and rooms. In the hotel search box, click on "Advanced Search" and choose your desired combination of persons and rooms.
If I call the hotel they don't confirm my booking, how come?
Due to potential cancellation, we communicate your booking to the hotel a few days before arrival. Your booking voucher is the certificate that the room is reserved under your name.
